Why give something away for free if you can charge for it?

The Twitterverse was set aflame this afternoon with news that the company is considering creating a premium service for its power users. Fortunately, this wouldn’t be some sort of Tinder Select-esque club for only the rich, beautiful and famous account holders. 

Rather, the idea is to give paying users access to a host of new data and analytics tools. Think of it as a souped-up version of TweetDeck, which is a Twitter dashboard that lets you manage multiple accounts, monitor engagement and do other exciting things. 

And just what will this as-of-yet unnamed premium service provide? Well, we’re not exactly sure. Twitter hasn’t built it yet, you see.  Read more…
